Monterey Bay 360° VR Experience

The result of filming that has spanned several years, the Sanctuaries 360 video featuring Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary was recently released on the sanctuary’s 33rd anniversary. This program was the joint product of volunteer divers and Office of National Marine Sanctuaries staff.

This immersive video is the second program that Foundation divers contributed to. As a part of the Cordell Bank 2022 Project, Foundation divers conducted all of the filming for the Cordell Bank 360 video. This immersive 360° video will soon be accompanied by full lesson plans so that this rich experience can be incorporated into educational programs.

This project work is conducted in consultation with and with direction from MBNMS/ONMS/NOAA Sanctuaries.
